Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)

Branches Oregon offers medication management program to adults enrolled in outpatient treatment and services.

Medication Evaluation and Management at Branches

Medication-assisted treatments (MAT) can include medication assessment and maintenance to help patients maintain recovery and everyday functioning.  The MAT program can include Suboxone®/Subutex or other psychiatric medications to help patients maintain recovery.

Before entering a MAT program, patients undergo a confidential assessment to help a psychiatric provider determine an appropriate level-of care, including the best medications for each patient’s unique circumstances.

MAT combines FDA-approved medication protocols with counseling and behavioral therapist that treat mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders in adults. Many unpleasant physical symptoms of drug detox or alcohol withdrawal can also be eased with doctor-prescribed medication.

  • Medication Assisted Treatment is available to patients who are enrolled in PHP or IOP treatment, medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is shown to be effective in reducing relapse rates.

Comprehensive outpatient MAT treatments

MAT programming is most effective when coupled with other forms of treatment. Branches Oregon provides holistic care that includes MAT, group therapy and individual check-ins for comprehensive quality care that addresses all facets of the person.
